The North American Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting adoptive parents, informing adoption professionals, and helping children find permanent, loving families.
The Child Welfare Information Gateway is a national resource for information on all aspects of adoption for professionals, policy makers, and the general public. A service of the Children’s Bureau, Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Gateway provides access to print and electronic publications, websites, databases, and online learning tools for improving child welfare practice, including resources that can be shared with families.
The Department for Community Based Services in the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services is Kentucky’s child welfare entity. To find information on local DCBS offices, foster care, adoption, the Kentucky Child/Adult Protective Services Reporting System, independent living programs and more, visit their website.
AdoptUSKids provides tools and technical assistance to support states, tribes, and territories in their efforts to connect children in foster care with families interested in adopting them. AdoptUSKids is a project of the US Children’s Bureau.
